Porsche produced the original Boxster with a plastic rear screen, consequently the limitations for use are quite high because of “cold crack” and scratching problems, in 2003 Porsche upgraded the Boxster to a glass rear screen, however they changed the pattern at the same time making it impossible to upgrade the old cars with the new hood. We have sourced a glass window upgrade hood for this early car with a heated rear window that fits to the existing hood frame and requires no modifications to install. The hood is produced in exactly the same way as the new style Porsche hood only using our patterns for the old style frame, an electrical cable is supplied to plug into the rear window demister socket so that the existing switch on the dashboard can be used to demist the rear screen.
